hehehe! i kind of like that, with no context, you can decide what the peoplez are freaking out about. hehehe! me? in my head they’re upset about the existence of valentine’s day. and, of course, teabagger/repug obstructionism that essentially prevents anything from legislatively getting done, the movement to overturn Roe v. Wade, conservative politics and talking heads in general, deficit hawks, and being poor.
and this: If these pictures of goats being crazy do not make your mind explode, your mind has already exploded. (note: thanks to Ben for that link. wtf? haha!)

actually, this might be the quote of the week:
“The only way Republicans will read the Health Care Bill is to rest it on the back of the hooker they’re banging down at C Street House.”
oh, Wanda Sykes, the more political humor you do, the more i like you. and i want your shirt. (except it’s spelled “wack.”)

jezebel always has an insightful analysis of the new Mad Men episodes the day after they air. obviously, they pay special attention to the portrayal of the women in the show, the situations they’re in, what their options are, how they react and what they were or might have been thinking. i always like reading those after seeing the episode.
this past episode was quite good.
the one question that i remember having after watching it was the scene at the end, when Roger confronts Don after seeing him in an awkward moment with Jane. Roger says that it’s dangerous to act too happy, saying that when one does it, it essentially makes him a target. Don says that Roger isn’t actually happy, he’s just pretending to be (or something to that effect.) shortly thereafter, Don walks by Roger and Jane slowly swaying on the dance floor after almost all the guests have left. Don walks past them and finds Betty out on the lawn and starts slowly swaying with her. i’m still trying to figure out whether that means that Don is also just pretending to be happy (more probable) or if both men are as happy as they can be, considering the time and their options.
anyhow, if you like Mad Men as much as i do, you’ll wanna keep up with these.
(here‘s the previous one, it’s about the same episode as the first one.)

suffice it to say that i am being less than productive today. one of the things i tried to to today was find the link to the tweenbots post so i could send it to a friend. i found the post and clicked the link, but the site is being updated right now, so the video of the tweenbots in action that i love so much is not available. so, in hopes that the video might be available somewhere else, i scoured the interwebz–i went through vimeo searches, i checked out the ITP site to find Kacie Kinzer and hopefully her video (with no success), and my final avenue was to use Teh Google to find it. and i did (it’s at blipTV.) but in my searching, i found Kacie’s portfolio page with some other projects she did while at ITP. some of them are pretty cool and definitely worth checking out. if you have a little time to kill, it would be time well spent looking at her projects and the ideas behind them.
